Dr. Devon Ptak is a board-eligible Endodontist, dedicated to providing patients with compassionate care that is both individualized and evidence based.
Dr. Ptak was born and raised in a small suburb of Detroit, Michigan. From there, Dr. Ptak went on earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Purdue University, a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Dartmouth College, and a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree (DMD) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
During her time at Tufts University, she discovered her passion for both pain management and saving teeth, leading her to pursue specialty training in Endodontics. To further her ability to deliver high quality care, Dr. Ptak completed an additional two-year post-doctoral residency at Tufts University and now holds a Certificate in Endodontics. After completing additional requirements set by the American Association of Endodontics, Dr. Ptak was named a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 2024.
During her training, Dr. Ptak was awarded the Lester P. Goldsmith Endowed Prize Fund in Endodontics and was inducted into the Robert R. Andrews Honor Society in recognition of outstanding research. Her work has helped contribute to the field of dentistry and has been published in several journals, including the Journal of Endodontics. Dr. Ptak has traveled across the country presenting her research at various conferences and events.
Dr. Ptak is an active member of several societies including, but not limited to, the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and American Dental Association (ADA). She is also a part-time faculty member at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, teaching in the Endodontics department. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ptak enjoys traveling, playing tennis, running, and spending time with her family.
